It sounds like this poor young innocent child was badly let down by both parents. The father using physical abuse in terms of the treadmill ect and the mother in terms of the drug abuse. If a person is not able or willing to to give the fundamental basic things such as time, love and support to a child, their own child, then they are not deserving of a child. This is such a very very sad and tragic story and the small young child was the victim between two selfish and immature adults who did not deserve to have been blessed with kids.
